Canon 10-22 Lens General Specifications

February 3rd, 2012

... Labadee, Landscape photography on Fotopedia - The Photo EncyclopediaThe Canon 10-22 Lens is of remarkable quality. This lens belongs to the classic ultra wide range and is sought after by architectural photographers, as well as by those users who take indoor and landscape photographs. When launched, the Canon 10-22mm was both the lightest and smallest lens to offer this ultra wide range. This lens has a fast and silent USM ring motor and full time manual focus. Although it is not an internal zoom lens, the Canon 10-22mm does not change length when zoomed, as the front element moves inside a fixed outer barrel. The filter ring on this lens does not turn when the user is zooming, or focusing, so a polarizer can easily be used. The Canon 10-22mm lens will focus from its closest distance at 24cm, to infinity, in approximately half a second. This lens performs amazingly well in reality, particularly if you consider its extreme coverage.

The Olympus 14-42 is a Lens Worth Owning

January 28th, 2012

Chances are that you already got the Olympus 14-42 lens as part of your camera kit but if not this is still a lens worth owning. For a bargain price you get a camera lens that is not only a great performer at all focal ranges but also which is wonderfully compact as well. For a kit lens, it is exceptionally sharp and I would go as far as to say that it surpasses anything that I have seen by Canon or Nikkon in this range. All the photos that I have taken with it thus far have come out super sharp and even after pixel peeping it on my computer screen I could see very little flaws. This is pretty impressive for a lens of this size and even more so when you take the budget price into consideration. If you do not yet have a lens in this focal range for your camera then you should pick this one up as soon as possible.

Features and Benefits of Sony Alpha Lenses

December 27th, 2011

It is hard to comment on the features and benefits of Sony Alpha lenses at an overall level. There are lenses with different features under the Alpha brand. A good starting point, is to note that the higher the number, the higher will be the number of features. Thus a lower level lens may have certain number of features and the higher model would include all those features plus some more additional ones. The logical thought would then be to opt for the highest lens available provided it fits your budget. This is because, as the number of features increase the price of the lens also increases. The additional problem is that, when the number of features increases usually the size of the lens increases as well, and thus carrying the lens around becomes a problem. Sony however, is taking care to keep the lens size as small as possible.

Hopes Lifted Up High Because of Photography

October 29th, 2011

It is funny how by simply taking this photography course in Leeds, someone like me can change life’s direction.I highly recommend it to everyone because I think the course can not only give you proper training in photography but will also lift your hopes up high. I was once a lazy undergraduate who depended financially from his parents. My typical day was to wake up late, party with friends all day long and hit the bed whenever I felt drunk. One time, I felt like I was already a big disappointment to my parents. They never talked to me about almost anything. They didn’t want me to get involved in any of our family businesses. That’s when I came across digital photography in the net. I became interested and intrigued with it, until it became an obsession, a passion which led me to build my own name. I wanted to prove to my parents what I could do and that I have dreams too.

Getting a Digital Camera

July 29th, 2011

I had only worked with film based cameras in the past, so when I started my new class at my university where we had to use digital cameras for all of our projects, I knew that I would need to get my hands on a list of digital photography tips that could help me out in the parts of digital photography that I didn’t know or understand so I wouldn’t be too far behind in the class compared to all of the other students. I went online to look up digital photography tips in hopes to find some stuff that could help me out, and I even ordered a few books online based around digital photography tips so I could read up on it. Luckily, I wasn’t the only one in the class who wasn’t use to digital cameras, because we all needed a few digital photography tips to help guide us with our new cameras.

A Review of a Digital Compact Camera

June 21st, 2011

I started being interested in a compact camera when my phone let me down. I had taken quite a few snap shots and was looking forward to printing them once I got back home. The phone has a 5-megapixel-autofocus facility so I really hoped I would be alright. To tell the truth I had been told that nothing can really beat a best compact digital cameras but I did not listen. My main concern at the time was to keep my kit to a minimum, I did not fancy having several gadgets where one could do the trick. Anyway, once back home I started transferring the pictures from the phone to my computer and I got started with the printing using the best quality paper etc. The result was truly disappointing. I barely recognized the places I had been to, just about everything was different, the quality of light was the most obvious. I will not be making that same mistake again. Hindsight is a wonderful thing!

Tamron 60mm Macro Review by a Canon 100mm Macro User

June 3rd, 2011

Before I buy this lens, I read several review online and this Tamron 60mm Macro review is the one that stands out the most. I am a Canon user and I have been using my friend’s Canon 100mm lens prior to buying this lens. I loved the 100mm macro lens because of the reach that I can get with it. It gives me extra working distance when shooting macro.

When I first look at the focal length, I was thinking this lens might not be for me. I love working on the longer end of the telephoto range because it will give me more freedom when shooting macro.

However, the thought of being able to capture the environment of the subject due to the wider angle of view on this lens is what tempted me to get this lens instead. So, I decided to take the plunge and ordered this lens. So far, I have to say that I have not been disappointed at all.
